The Honourable Prime Minister,

Government of India,

Prime Minister Office,

New Delhi

Respected Prime Minister,

Recent Attacks on Indian Students Studying in Australia

Please accept our congratulation on your election as Prime Minister of the country second time in succession. We are very happy and convey our sincere good wishes to you Sir in shaping the destiny of this great Nation.

Our Association called NRI Parents Association, Vadodara, Gujarat (NRIPA) was formed in Vadodara in July 2002 by a group of concerned Parents (residing in India) of kids who have settled out of India. Our Association is nonprofit organization registered with Charities Commissioner doing activity of welfare of NRI Parents & Children.

We are also an affiliate member of CONFEDERATION OF NON-RESIDENT INDIANS PARENTS’ (CONRIPO). Our association has been recognized as associate members of GOPIO (Global Organization of People of Indian Origin) International. We have also launched our website [] for dissemination of information relevant to NRIs

As NRI Parents whose children are studying/working in other countries, we are concerned about the recent attacks systematically targeting the Indian Students studying in Australia. As we understand from media reports some people who even in this 21st century still believe and profess the Racisms have planned these attacks. While we are confident, the Government of India under your leadership must be taking adequate steps to ensure safety of Indian Community particularly the students in Australia, we request your goodselves to please issue directions to the High Commissioner & Deputy High Commissioners’ offices in Australia to extend all necessary help to affected Indian Students so that they can get some comfort in the alien land.

Sir, while conveying our sincere thanks for the attention given by you to our communication, a line in reply is solicited.

Copy of this communication sent to(i) Minister of External Affairs(ii) Minister of Overseas Indians Affairs(iii) The Chief Minister of Gujarat—For suitable action
