SNEH MILAN – NIZAMPURA, SAMA, FATEH GUNJ, PRATAPGUNJ AREA
Making the Saal Mubarak wishing a memorable event, the NRIPA group members from Nizampura, Sama, Fateh Gunj, Pratap Gunj area met, chatted, and shared each other’s life stories on 5 November 2011 in a shadowy corner of Hedgewar Park in Mehsana Nagar from 5 p.m. to sun set.
While Din Dayal Tuteja enthralled the 25 member strong gathering with the story of his recent visit to USA from where he had returned just two days ago after visiting his recently married son in Cleaveland, Ohio, Girdhar Lal Shah who joined NRIPA only last month as a Life Member told about his experiences of running a successful business in Saudi Arab for over twenty years. Kanti Naik and Rashmika Naik’s story of their sons and grand children in USA during dozens of visits before and after becoming citizens of USA and living in Vadodara as OCI were both entertaining and educating. Niranjan Talati proudly narrated the story of his daughter and son in law who came to serve their mother as she had suffered a brain hemorrhage. Veena Talati who was happy to meet every one after a long time was obviously pleased with this gathering where she could share her experience with so many people.
Vijay Khopkar provoking Leela Ramnathan to tell her story, told us how she joined NRIPA. Confirming her faith in NRIPA family, she shared her experiences of the help and moral support that she has received from this family. Ramesh Chavda and Bhavini Chavda shared their views. Colonel Desai humoursly told that his work in the Army Medical Core was appreciated all the more because he was generally the only Gujarati officer there.
Talking the about the achievements of his son who has offices in mainland China and Hong Kong and the other two sons in Sydney, Lakhi Paryani observed that one cannot become a citizen of China even after working for all life, Australia confers citizenship within a few years. Vijay Khopkar told that India was the best county to live in. Amritgiri told that he was happy visiting his son in California, but would not like to migrate there as the conditions of visiting US every six months on a Green Card were too demanding. Renu Juneja was of the opinion that completing five years in this way was a real hurdle. I D Bhatt and Rashmi Bhatt talked about their visits to US and Canada to see their children there.
U N Joshi and Madhuri Joshi shared the story of their children; U N Joshi informed that he was known in his service life as United Nation Joshi to differentiate from other Joshis. Harshad Shah and Ishwarbhai Choksi shared their family background. Geeta Shah was happy to meet all after visiting her children in USA.
Sharing such interesting and instructing conversation with a few snacks and people of substantial achievements in their lives was a unique experience, which the members would like to repeat in near future.
